It’s Sheridan WYO Rodeo Week! Kick it off!

Sheridan Chamber of Commerce Program Development Director Teresa Detimore and Communications Director Jodi Heartly stopped by Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to give some details regarding the 2023 Sheridan WYO Rodeo Boot Kick-Off.

The traditional beginning of Sheridan’s WYO Rodeo week, The WYO Rodeo Boot Kick-Off will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 11 at the Whitney Commons.

The Sheridan Chamber Ambassadors step up to man the event. Detimore told listeners that the Chamber is proud to be a part of the kick-off every year.

Opening the boot kick-off will be stick horse races for the little cowboys and cowgirls. These races come with prize money in the form of Chamber Bucks for the little competitors.

A total of $1330 in Chamber Bucks prize money is up for grabs this year and will be awarded to winners in different age groups of the stick races and boot-kick off.

Stick horses and boots will be provided, but folks can bring their own. The Chamber does recommend those who wish to participate in the competition should get to Whitney Commons at approximately 4:30 p.m. to have a better chance at registration as limited space is available.

Food and beverage vendors will be available.
